Starmie Rapid Strike Deck [Fusion Strike]

Overview

Starmie Rapid Strike has very strong sniping attack. The attack, Rapid Fisted Star does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's for each Energy discarded from Starmie Rapid Strike. This attack can also deal damage to multiple targets. For example, if your Starmie Rapid Strike has 3 Water Energy, you can deal 90 total damage by discarding all Energy Cards from it and then split this toal 90 damage into 30 damage and 60 damage to attack 2 Pokemon or split into 30 damage, 30 damage and 30 damage to attack 3 Pokemon or don't split 90 damage and chose 1 Pokemon and deal 90 damage.

Starmie Rapid Strike is definitely nightmare for Single Prize Pokemon. It can be more overwhelming the Rapid Strike Urshiful VMAX which can only target 2 Pokemon. Imagine if you meet Mad Party Deck and you somehow managed to attached 6 Energy to Starmie Rapid Strike, you can wipe out 3 Bunnelby in the single turn.

Energy Setup

In this deck, Frosmoth Ability Ice Dance is going to use to accelerate Basic Water Energy for Starmie Rapid Strike. You can attach as many Water Energy as you want to Starmie Rapid Strike using this Ability as long as it is on your bench. In order to accelerate Water Energy to Starrmie Rapid Strike and attack your opponent Pokemon in the same turn, your Active Pokemon need to retreat and switch position with Starmie Rapid Strike. You can attach your Active Pokemon with Air Balloon and retreat it without discarding Energy since all the Pokemon will have 2 or less Energy Retreat Cos in this deck.

If you don't have Water Energy in your hand, you can use Capacious Bucket to find 2 Water Energy from your deck.

Alternatively, you can chose Kingler VMAX as an Energy Accelerator instead of Frosmoth since Kingler VMAX first attack, Foam Party [1 Water Energy] let you attach 5 Water Energy to 1 of youir Pokemon. The downside is that if you use Kingler VMAX to accelerate Water Energy, your Starmie Rapid Strike need to wait another turn to attack. On the other hand,  Kingler VMAX can acts as a second attacker since its second attack has very high damage.

Recycle Water Energy

In the late game, you can retrieve Water Energy and Water Pokemon from your discard pile and put them into your hand using Nessa.  Nessa let you only retrieve up to 4 in combination of Water Energy and Water Pokemon. This effect is really good for this deck since you can find all the importance piece such as Attacker, Energy Accelerator or Energy from your discard pile.

Training Court allow you to retrieve 1 Water Energy from discard pile every turn. Getting extra 1 Water Energy might seem insignificant in some Water Decks. But, having an extra Water Energy in your hand , you might win the game in this deck.

Increase damage on Pokemon V

Combination of Passimian Rapid Strike Ability Throwing Ball and Telescopic Sight [Pokemon TOol] add extra 60 damage to your Starmie Rapid Strike when you attack your opponent's Benched Pokemon V.

For example, when you discard 3 Energy from Starmie Rapid Strike using Rapid Fisted Star, each Energy will deal 90 damage to each of your opponent's Bencehd Pokemon V. But, for 1 Benched Pokemon V, each Energy doesn't count 90 damage and the damage is calculated based on the total no of Water Energy * 30 damage + 60 damage. So, it is better to spend 1 Energy on each of your opponent's Pokemon V in the early game to deal more damage.
